To reach the crater of Mount Bromo, there are more than 200 steps specially made for climbing Mount Bromo, to make it easier for tourists or the Tenggerese who want to reach the crater area of Bromo. For the people around Mount Bromo, namely the Tengger Tribe, Mount Bromo (Bhrahma) is considered a sacred mountain which often holds Yadnya Kasada or Kasodo ceremonies every year.
